Slough Estates is re-tendering the bi-annual valuation of its £2.7 bn UK property portfolio. The role has been held jointly by Insignia Richard Ellis and CB Hillier Parker since 1986. A number of firms have been invited to submit their credentials, from which a shortlist of valuers will be prepared.
Slough?s Chief Executive, Ian Coull, commented, “This exercise is evidence of our continued drive for best business practice in the interests of shareholder value. We have enjoyed working with both of our existing valuers and we are encouraged that they will be pitching to continue.”
Spokespersons for IRE and CBHP separately commented, “We have long-standing relationships with Slough Estates and fully respect their need periodically to review the contracts with their service providers.”
