Community Partnerships

SEGRO believes that involvement in the community is integral to its core business and tends to be focused on those locations where we have a presence.

GETTING INVOLVED
Strong relationships with these communities is important to the business and involves regular consultation with local governments and business organisations that serve the communities. Our help to local bodies is both financial and in kind. Employees are actively encouraged to become involved and support community initiatives through our employee volunteering scheme.

We work closely with organisations fostering education, the arts, recreation and welfare, children and adults with disabilities, elderly people, good community relations and environmental initiatives - both nationally and locally.

SEGRO CHARITY OF THE YEAR
Every two years, SEGRO employees nominate a charity of the year. For 2006 we nominated Barnardo's and the final donation totalled £120,000, including £60,000 raised by employees and £60,000 of matching funds from the Company. SEGRO's 2008 charity of the year is Dogs for the Disabled.

CHARITABLE DONATIONS
SEGRO's Charity Committee considers applications from charitable organisations and in 2007, donated more than £630,000 (in cash and in kind) to community, civil society and other groups.
