Objective: To maintain an outstanding Health and Safety record by implementing robust management controls and careful auditing procedures
It is often said that a company's greatest asset is its employees. With this in mind SEGRO makes every effort to ensure that all employees have a safe environment to work in.
A positive health and safety culture is endemic throughout the Company, led from the top by our Chief Executive, Ian Coull.
The Group Health & Safety Policy states: “It is the policy of SEGRO to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety of all employees and any other persons who may be directly affected by the activities of the Group.”
To ensure that this policy is implemented a robust health & safety management system has been put in place. This includes having a standing health & safety agenda item at all Group Board meetings and a Group Health and Safety Committee whose principal aim is to oversee the effectiveness of the implementation of the Group Health and Safety Policy and to report to the Board on this.
A qualified competent person has been appointed to manage health and safety and professional health and safety advisors have been appointed to support the competent person.
